26/30. If this quiz had only included real sports, I would've finished it with 5.5 minutes to spare.

Road trip to Mizzou with Brookie Cookie

We started the trip with some Round Rock donuts, as any good fat kid would.
Photobucket

Then we rocked down to...
Photobucket

Then a stop at the world's second largest McDonald's.
Photobucket

When we got to Columbia, I went to check out the new jumbotron
Photobucket

While Brooke and McGoo rode in the football helmet cart
Photobucket

Then headed to the Quad
Photobucket

and checked out the new J-School
Photobucket

Then went across the street for a porkloin sandwich and some Boulevard Wheat at the Berg
Photobucket

Ok, so I forgot to take pictures after the first day. I'm going to have to work on that.

SOTD: FBS Schools

http://www.sporcle.com/games/fbscolleges.php

This seemed like a fitting Sporcle based on my last week of blogging. In case you don't know what 'FBS' means, it's basically the schools that play big boy football, i.e. every school I've been talking about for the past week.

I finished just under the wire with 44 seconds remaining.

The Purpose-drivenless Life

For the first time in I don't know how long, I have nothing to do and nothing to work toward. For 26 years, I've either been in school or applying to school. I have been both working on something and toward something. Now, there is no more school. There is no more Barbri. There is no more bar exam. This isn't to say I passed the bar exam necessarily, but until finding out otherwise in November, we're going to operate under that assumption.

Now I know you're thinking "but Chris, you did nothing for four years of high school and four years of college".* And yes, that's mostly true. But I was still going to school, sometimes going to classes, almost always showing up for tests and always writing papers. Plus, that's where the working toward something comes into play. I've frequently been bored throughout my life. I've never been purposeless. Even when changing majors six times and taking 9-hour semesters, there was the ultimate purpose of graduating, even if I wasn't sure with what and for what.

But now, no purpose. I mean, I have long-term goals. I want to get a job where I can use the law to help people, preferably prisoners. But other than continue looking for such a job, all I can really do to work toward this goal is volunteer, which I want to wait to do for another few weeks while I look for jobs that can pay for the roof over my head and the six-figure student loans. I want to eventually get married, have kids, etc. But those aren't really things you can work toward, or at least that I know how to work toward, nor are they things I want to do right now.

So here I sit on a Friday morning, watching Gilmore Girls and putzing around on the internet, seemingly not much different from the past 8 years, but it is.

*We'll address this grammatical/style "error" in a later post.
